Exploring Songs of Clara Schumann and Her Contemporaries,”

featuring Ivy Walz, mezzo-soprano and Pej Reitz, piano.

Dr. ​Ivy Walz will give a lecture and recital in collaboration with Pej Reitz. The program centers on the importance of elevating art song by women composers. Songs by Clara Schumann will be a focal point, and connections drawn to her female contemporaries such as Maria Rodrigo, Cecile Chaminade, Alma Mahler and Florence Price.
